I've been tryin to get my gas tank skid on too that I pulled from same zj , 99 v8 .... But my bolts are all seized up and rusty on hitch.... Snapped 3 bolts already and 2 socket exstensions .... Even put the impact on em and still won't budge .... Gonna have to spray more JB on em and sit some more , if that don't work gonna just chop em off or torch em out.

Just because I can .... Parked next to stock jeep at walmart that's there almost everyday .....
Also , got rid of the bfg 31's and went back to factory 28's .... Temporarily while I save $$ for 33's .... I put over 50k on the bfg's and was time to change or suffer a blow out, they were gettin bad, picked up some tires from junkyard 4 of em for 60 bucks in good shape

Today I did the cargo bay thing ..... Took some 2x6 bolted em to the side of quarter panel , grabbed some plywood and cut it to size , marked the holes n bolted that on top of the 2x6 using a piece of metal I bent to 90* grabbed from home depot for a buck.
Did a mock install to make sure all fit and latch shut , cut a 2x4 to help support center weight , noticed a Lil bowing when had weight on top , now everything was lookin pretty ..... While everything was off I did a Lil insulation work in quarters and sprayed it all down with some expanding foam , makes for a nice quiet ride, and clean sound for speakers , hate rattling.
Wrapped board in basic automotive carpet and bolted it all back together nice n snug , used rubber washers were wood met metal ...... Super quiet back there and supports my weight easy
Did this modification cus my dogs ride with me almost every day and my Akita doesn't like the seats and she always was gettin in the back and stepping on my subs , when u have a 120 lbs dog movin around its just askin for a blown speaker .... So made her a spot to lay that takes her weight and protects the subs

That's a nice looking Jeep there. Good luck getting it to 300K, I'm trying to do the same, got a long road ahead of me though.
How hard was that tranny cooler install? Been curious about putting one of those on mine.
