I'm sure you've all come across this Jeep at one point or another, or read about it in any post on CherokeeForum because I mention it everytime I leave a reply! Now that I have my Jeep back, and I have made it almost ready to head out on it's next 200,000 mile journey in Rhode Island I guess I should make a build thread.

How it Started: Basically, I sent for my Jeep in California in early March of 2012 after I had left in California in October of 2009. I was really angling to get it here because it is my first Jeep and I didn't want to have anything else besides that Jeep. I called and made sure it was still with my family before I set up shipping for it, and sure enough it was. I thought, what the hell...I'm not gonna get it any other way unless I go all out and just spend the $800.00 to get it here. So I did, and it got here.

Here is what the damage was after three years:

1. A completely shredded bench seat. (My family's fault.)
2. A torn drivers seat. (My family's fault.)
3. A completely dead battery. (My family lied and said it was being started. )
4. A completely dry rotted set of tires. (I was expecting that.)
5. And bad fuel lines. (Was expecting that too.)

So, I went out and picked up a new Interstate Battery from Pep-Boys so I could move it without having to kill myself. Then got the fuel lines with a new fuel filter to repair that so when I filled the tank, I wasn't wasting precious gas with it being $3.59 a gallon over here. Then...I was pretty much wiped out. Don't have a steady income at fifteen. I wish I did!

On My List Next:

1. Four Used All-Season tires. (To pass inspection, not my first choice. )
2. 2 Front Seats, and a Rear Seat.
3. Fog Lights (To blind those H2 Drivers. )
4. A new driver side mirror. (Thanks, guys! For totally ripping it off as a JOKE for your kids to laugh at.)

Basically just the things to get it road worthy, then I'll become a "Picture *****" with the modifications I am gonna do next. Did I mention my Jeep was a 2WD? Maybe shoulda told you guys that in the beginning.
