I have a question about radiators tho. Im lookn at getn an all aluminum radiator but i dont know which one to get. I have found some on ebay for pretty cheap but i dont know what would be better. Is the 3 row better then a 2 or 1 row?
ive read that most people prefer the 2 row over the 3 row. i think some xjs with the facrory towing package came with a 2 row. im not to sure on that tho

Most of what i find people have been using the 2 rows. I may just end up using that and taking out the condenser. If I remember right, I found an all aluminum 2 row for about $200-300. I have some stuff I need to sell so I can get some more parts. One of which would be my Nitro RC truck.haha that thing was fun but Id rather ride in something then just control it.

I am just curious if you thought about changing the speedo gear due to the new ratio and bigger tires? Simple check is, are you traveling the same speed as what your speedometer is reading. Otherwise, I enjoy your build, giving me some good ideas for mine.

My speedo doesnt actually work. When I installed the SYE kit the speedo went from gear to electric sensor. I have been using GPS to mark distance and speed. Other then that I just go with the traffic. I draft cars and drive only 60-65 on the highway. One of these days I may end up throwing a gauge in there. My tach doesnt work either. I just listen and feel for the engine. But all the other more important gauges work. Haha

We should be starting tomorrow. We actually couldnt find any 7/8 so we had the option for 3/4 or 1". We dont have the dye for 3/4 so we are goin with 1". Its not my preffered but if it is super heavy I can take it off depending on if ill be rock crawling or not. I could just make some quick disconnects for the wireing of the lights.

What about a mixture of different dia. sizes? Are you planning of stacking two or three rows on top of each other? One inch will give it a killer, beefy look but will weigh a lot.

Just a thought... Also if your going to bend stay away from chrome molly.

Thats actually a good point. For some reason I didnt even think of that. For the joining pieces that dont need to be bent like the cooler or jug holders, we could use the 3/4". Im gunna talk to my neighbor about it. Plus it would kind of accent eachother rather then it be all one size.

im just going with the 2 rail around. I dont need it too high. Just enough to strap stuff on and hold some pvc pipe for the tarp I plan to put up.

As for the chrome molly, for sure wont be getn that. Haha ill leave that for the cage.

I replaced my motor mounts. You can tell they are blown out. They were so bad my engine was twisted and not sitting like it should. I had to use a lot of leverage to fix it. My new motor mounts are some Brown Dog motor mounts.

Here is were im at now on my roof rack. Ideas are from Stitch and his set up. Made a few changes to it, but its basically the same. My neighbor has been building it for me since I dont have a welder or bender. I've been helping him with cutting and notching the tubes as much as I can.

Thank you. I'm glad its all coming together now. I've been drooling over yours for a while. Haha

I got some cheap Harbor Freight lights for the front and rear. The lights I went with for the front are a little differnt but its all the same thing basically. I should have some more photos up by the end of the week. Might be done by the weekend. I need to order some more lights for the front. I only got one set for now so we can use them for a guide.
