You should check out my 1998 sport,
4" lift
31x10.5
painted bottom of doors and rockers black
Same rims but my front turned black
im not sure of the difference in red between the 2

Appreciate the compliment. Hopefully my rims won't turn black. Although I do plan on painting the triangular inside shapes gloss black at some point. I think that will really set the rims off. I plan on adding a couple more inches to the jeep down the road as well and probably some 33's. But it may be a while.

as long as you rotate your tires and wash them every so often they wont turn black,
i think mine did due to not rotateing them and a combination of brake dust and different fluids like power steering fluid and leaky head gasket

Might be selling my 98' Sport. I don't want to put it in the for sale section yet due to the forum rules but maybe someone will see this and respond.
I found a 2000 I am going to look at Sunday. I need to get rid of this one if I can to use the money towards the new one.
Anyone interested?

As much as I wanted the 2000 Cherokee Sport, I just could not part with $5 grand. Thought that was a little high for that jeep and he would not come down. So...looks like I am holding onto to the 98' for now. I don't mind. I like the color better than the one I looked at anyway.
Looking at getting a 6.5" lift kit and some 33's around Christmas time. I think it looks good now but it would really look good at 6.5"!

I think you were trying to say a cracked head. I thought that problem was only on the 2001 models? Did the 2000's have that issue too? I did not think that they did from what I read.

Keep it up. I know that it can get discouraging from time to time. I get that way with my XJ. What works for me is to knock out something small and then the motivation should come back.

Well, I have had an ongoing struggle whether or not I liked this 98' Jeep or hated her. She has been a gold digger for sure. But, I scored me some good used 31x10.50's off of Craigslist for $140. Had them put on the Canyon Rims I bought a while back and I think I fell in love with the old girl all over again. She looks pretty good now. But I won't stop building on her.

Love, hate, love...Wasn't that an Alice in Chains song?! They wrote that for my Cherokee! Well, after missing out on an already built Cherokee and not getting any hits on mine to sell it, looks like I am definitely keeping it and probably handing it down to the youngest who will be driving next year.
I have been wanting to put more lift on it so I snatched some 4.5" coils and control arms from a member on here. I had already fabbed up some lift shackles that will give me 1 or 1.5 inches of lift. I am going to get some adjustable upper control arms and some quick discos and I should be set to add some more lift to this pain in the butt Heep. They should grant divorces for Cherokees! haha
