Operation Jerp.
Thought I'd start my build thread early so I don't have to catch up later.
Jumping right in, I bought a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Limited from a friend for $700. It hadn't been started for a year and had been sitting for 3. The first time I went to check it out it was RUNNING, but had 3 flat tires and no brakes. Got my mechanic friend to tow it and rebuild the brake system for $350.
Nabbed a set of tires off Craigslist for $150 to get it roadworthy.
After picking it up from getting the brakes fixed, I filled it up with gas, only for 2/3s of it to leak out again.
Bought a 4.5 inch RC lift with full leafs and dropped it back off with my mechanic.
The gas tank is finished, the lift is finished, and we've almost got the rear bumper finished. $1300.
HOPEFULLY picking it up today.

not a bad start, everything running good and working properly now? I have now finally seen what mine is going to look like with a 4.5" lift. I have those same tires, and my lift is in the works.

As far as I know everything is mechanically perfect now. Going to take a 3 hour trip down to Dayton this week. That shall be the ultimate test. More pics and info to come.
BTW: Original engine and transmission with 197,000 miles. EVERYTHING works. A/C, cruise control, power everything. Love it
