Old Red. 99 XJ
A friend was about to send this XJ to the junkyard! I picked it up for $500, even though she offered to go down on the price before I even looked at it. Horrible salesperson.
So far:
- RC 3" lift with new leaf springs
- Rubicon Express HD steering package
- Currently 29" All Terrains
- Cb so my jeep can talk to other jeeps
- Light bar
- repair front end damage
- replace and paint fender flares
- fuel pump
- tps (twice)
To do list:
- Tranny cooler and steel brake hoses laying around in the garage
- Snorkel (looking for ones that delete the air box and isn't pvc piping..)
- 32's and new wheels
- bead locks
- Lincoln lockers
- rear bumper with recovery points
- roof rack
- rock sliders
- rock lights
- Engine rebuild, possible stroker kit. Still weighing out the 4 per HP gain.
- Axle rebuilds
- skid plates
- 4 hole fuel injectors
- bore out throttle body
- port the intake
- extended shackle and relocation
- coil spring spacers
- tubing for front bumper brush guard
- roll cage
- rhino line interior
- frame stiffeners
- bedliner entire jeep and olive drab over it.
- onboard air compressor
- dual battery
- interior winch control
- SYE
- new exhaust
- header
- sway bar bolt sheared off in the unibody
- plenty more I don't even know about... yet
The way I bought it. The passenger side headlight area met a guard rail. Needed to replace: bumper, fender, radiator support, headlight
Minutes before starting my lift.
And done! Broke every single bolt, but 1 shackle bolt..
Pre-lift trail ride. I was happily surprised how well it handled as is.
Went to replace the spacer and sheared a few bolts here.
Red Valve cover, atleast 10 more ft/lbs torque.
Still runs great!
JCR DIY bumper, Quadratech anniversary winch, ebay lightbar, Rubicon express HD steering package
