next trip to the scales, and Im really mad at myself for doing this, but I wasnt thinking and got gas right before we went, so race weight would actually be 27xx lbs, because I only race with a gallon or 2 of gas in the tank

Figured I really needed to officially drop below that 2800 mark so I got my new wheel put on. Its cheap, but I really like it. good look for the jeep, lightweight, and is smaller so it feels sportier.

Awesome. Another onlooker here. Neat way to show the ricers who's boss, not that it really takes much anyway, the soccer moms make them look like wimps. Great start so far!
What's the story on that intake? Also, my XJ has that same crapola on the cargo area and partly on the fender wells. Did you just take an angle grinder to it to get it off?

The intake is just a velocity stack through the hood for now, but we will be getting into the performance stuff here real soon....patience is key.

Multiple reasons. The main purpose is to keep heat in the header. This has the benefits of increasing exhaust velocity, which increases scavenging and power. It also keeps underhood temps down...this is very important in jeeps due to the head design. Heat is the number one enemy if the 4.0l
