Yea i love the black on black haha but the salt on the midwest roads really makes it look dirty the frt/side angle pic it was just washed n got that dirty on the way home but yea thanks for the appriciation of the bumper took me a while but i know its built right so im happy with it ...what do you guys think about the style of the stinger (i dont have tube bender so went with the boxed top and i like the square tubing i think it matches the square body of the jeep better but what do you guys think???

but it started off by a 1/4 thick 2x6 recangle tube...cut it to width (i think it was like 65 inches) then i the back of tube out and made relief cut on front so i could bend the two outter edges back so it wasnt just flat front...n then cut a triangle out of the sides n bent those up so i could get more clrearance on the corners...then i notched the top of the tubing to give me a "dip" in the top to mount the whinch ... then i went with 3/16 sheet metal to cover the top and had to cut each slat to fit the top pattern then...i went with 2 hitch shackle assemblys...cut out squares through the rectangle tubing to set n weld the d rings in...then i used 1/4 inch plate to weld the "mounting brackets" on to bolt to frame...this was my first which bumper i made so as i went i just had to thing of strongest way to build it...like i said i will try n get some kinda pics or diagrams up here to help out...sorry i dont have progression pics of it

well small update i still need to get pics of the small odds n ends things ive done so i will get those shortly but this is a build thread so figured i would put a few pics up of the things i got built today..
1st pic- one of the bumpers i built for my buddys grand cherokee ...he had a low budget thats what its only got bolt on D rings i would have rather done what i did on my bumper but it still looks good n its for a strictly trail rig jeep anways he just wanted strong n cheap so there it is in the raw
2nd- i had some metal layin around and figured i would take a stab at a pillar light mounts cause i think they look sweet and seemed simple to build...n i really didnt wanna pay anybody so i got a decent start on them in the garage not finished yet but hopefully tomaroo they will be...i grinded them all down n look alot better but forgot to get pics...anybody got any suggestions on best way to actually mount them to the pillar and what about some fog lights what do you guys think? i was maybe goin to go with the hella 500 black magics since the jeep is blacked out but i also thought of the warn fog lights with a remote switch to turn them on??? so help here would be great!
last- here is a pic of my work space pretty sad huh but i just thought i should show you guys what im workin with since alot of others have full garages n stuff like that...i would kill to have that...

quick update...i aint got pictures yet but ill tell you the small odds n end of what i put on a while ago... Smitybuilt G.E.A.R. seat covers...maglight mount on a pillar...cb radio ...and a 8 foot antenna...i love it...it can pic up everything...small wide angle fog lights hidden under bumper to light up my sides for night wheelin in the woods...a sog machette haha girlfriend bought it n damn it will cut some stuff... now im gettin ready to fab up some tube fenders once i buy my new welder and once i get that now that its warm here i will be fabing up alot of stuff so stay posted and please comment !
I'd like to see your cb antenna. That's pretty huge. Is it a whip and do you have any problems with hitting stuff? I'm thinking about getting the 102" whip from radio shack and arcing it like they did on the snow Hummers in Inception. I'll find a pic of them. I love the look.

Here. This is kinda what I want to do to our jeep. Just the antenna though. Not the tracks. Well ok maybe the 50 cal mounts but that's it.
