Well back to the build! Front bumper! 5' channel, notched & bent, welded. 1/2' plate for support arms held with grade 8 bolts. Winch plate welded on top with a 10k lb vortex water proof winch with smitty Built Rope , Hummer D-rings held with grade 8 bolts, and some diamond plate corners. A home brew removable license plate holder that I made up from some old Thule bike rack parts I had. That attaches to the fairlead.

Basic but effective.

This is a sweet build i really like that it was built for the purpose of helping people. I wish they had a search and rescue around here because i would like to get into one.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it. I'm very happy you found something local to you! Thats great!
My lockers I bought on EBay and they were around $300.00 each. I bought the rear first then about a year and a half later bought the front. They make such a big difference

first off i gotta say this is an absolute awesome build!!! And secondly it must give you a great sense of fulfillment when picking someone up!!! I think after I upgrade my rear axle and lock them both ill have to check into this and then i could do two things i love: wheeling and helping others! congrats and keep that build going ill def stay tuned!

and also that security tint is NUTS! especially on that subaru with no window frame, might have to add that to my subaru sheesh

Thank you very much man. I have to say that I really do enjoy all aspects of what Search and Rescue has brought to me. To start with, The fab work and the installing, the creativeity that I gain from all of you and get to share my own with others. The Search and Rescue family, The fact that my son joined my unit two years ago and I felt like the proud papa when he got his first find. One of the guys that joined the unit with my son there last year of high school even calls me dad, and that feels pretty good too. All that plus we get the chance to help lost or injured people that are in need of rescue. Thats a lot of fulfillment right there man!
