Yeah... I'm not nearly that talented. I weld like an 8 year old girl. Not a big deal, I like it ok where it is plus everything is powder coated and I don't want to jack that up.

I have practiced some with a buddy of mine and I suck at it. Bad. I wouldn't want to have to paint the bumper anyway.

It takes practice.

The biggest thing is I can't see... I don't know what the deal is, he had an auto darkening helmet but for the life of me I couldn't see to start my weld or when it dimmed. Just not my thing I guess, eventually I am going to buy a welder and get after it again.

Thanks man. Hopefully get them on tomorrow. Had to go buy a new torque wrench today, my other was only up to 75 ft lbs. Now I'm good up to 150, the spacers are going on at 100.

They're on... And they're awesome. The stance is great, the handling is better and the ride is smoother. No issues at any speed on a 10 mile test drive. I used a wire brush to clean the face of the rotor/drum before installing the spacer and then torqued them to 100 with red loctite on the studs. Installed the wheel and torqued them to 100 as well and that was it. Good stuff!

Rig is looking good! I just put those same wheel spacers on mine and let me say if you have had any problems underneath in the suspension such as a bad track bar or things like that, the wheel spacers will be sure to let you know!

When I first got my jeep it already had the lift on it and there was a little wobble in the front when I hit bumps but nothing bad at all. Well then I replaced the ball joints then put those wheel spacers on and it just amplified the wobble creating the "death wobble" as its called haha, there is no feeling in the world like going to down the road at 55mph and your hole front end start wobbling and steering wheel shaking! but I took it to a mechanic my dad takes his stuff to and they said I needed a track bar drop bracket and a drop pitman arm. So i ordered an adjustable track bar with the drop bracket and a new pitman arm and a dual steering stabilizer

So I hope that stuff fixes the problem!

The inside actually came out pretty nice after some minor repairs like reattaching the console lid and rearview mirror, and going nuts with the Simple Green and carpet machine. Then came the PB Blaster on all the locks and latches and the bound up hood release.

After that was done it was time to get the heat and air going. The PO had said that the blower motor was dead... He had a brand new one in the backseat when I bought the rig so I just assumed he had diagnosed it correctly and I installed it. Still nothing, so I checked the switch. Toasted.
A JY switch got me one speed... So on to the resistor. A JY resistor got me all the speeds, hot heat and cold air.

At this point I took a look at the body. Fairly clean other then a few uglies.
A little elbow grease and some more JY parts got most of that straightened out. So it was time for lift and tires.
Exactly how did you free up the the hood release? I feel like I'm going to break mine every time I open the hood. I've sprayed it down in places I thought it might help but no luck. Thanks from northeast AR.

PB Blaster everywhere it could get to the cable. Starting in the cab right at the handle. Then at the fiewall, and every possible place thereafter, under the hood and at the latches. Just get that **** everywhere, work the release, spray more, work it some more. Once it freed up I used a product called Fluid Film (incredible stuff) in all those same places. it opens very nicely now, and let me tell you in the beginning it was stuck damn near solid.
