Replaced the alternator today... What a total ***** to get out!! Ended up pulling the battery and tray, fan clutch, and the alternator bracket itself in order to get it out. That's more than what I read in the write ups, but there was no way it was coming out otherwise. Actually the battery and tray probably could have stayed.

Also replaced the thermostat and tightened up my steering gear a bit.

New RE1600 track bar to replace the Moog. The front end doesn't walk all over the place between 48-52 now. Also got the passenger front wheel bearing replaced. New Bosch Icons all around, and blew out my clogged rear wiper hose to get it flowing again.

Rolled 200k today! And it's running so much better and smoother than when I got her 18k miles ago.

Yep... A steady diet of quality oil, good gas, techron, tuneup parts, and replacing/upgrading stuff as needed has done wonders. XJ's are amazingly responsive to basic maintenance.

My 93 parts jeep has had only 5 oil changes and 1 rad replacement in its whole life and I drove it to school the day I started pulling parts. Factory fluids other than engine oil . 290k+ miles

Solid build! Looking good, I'm liking all of these new parts you're always putting on. I've got a question though, why wheel spacers? What's the point in them other than the visual effect and of course stopping wheel rub?

Thanks man... The visual effect and stopping rub are the two main things. Also makes the Jeep a bit more stable and handle a bit better.
