Getting ready to armor up... Bought a Mopar gas tank skid from a member here yesterday, and just ordered an engine/tranny skid, transfer case skid, and front and rear diff guards from Rusty's.

Got an urge to do something to the Jeep today, so I decided to tackle that nasty sagging headliner. Pretty straight forward to do.
Pull the visors and clips, all the upper trim, grab handles, sound bar, dome light, and rear seatbelt anchors. The board slides straight out the back.
Pull off the old fabric and scrub the remaining foam off with a brush, then vacuum the rest off with a brush attachment in the shop vac. My board got a little jacked up as I pulled the fabric off... It started to delaminate in spots and had a few gashes in it from the PO. Not a big deal if you use good thick foam backed replacement fabric like I did - it hides imperfections nicely.
I used 3M Super77 adhesive, three coats on the board and three coats on the foam backing. Let it tack, smooth on the fabric, trim the edges, cut out the necessary holes, and back in it goes. Button up all your trim, etc. and it looks AWESOME!

Just an update on the K&N filter... Lovin it so far. I have had these filters on a couple vehicles before, but I would definitely say it has made the most difference of all in the XJ. Much crisper throttle response and better acceleration, and the engine seems much more willing to rev than with a paper filter. All in all a very good upgrade.
