Well guys, so far I haven't made much progress. I've put on new back up lights and I've changed the wheels. But this weekend it's getting painted, so I'm really excited for that! I believe I'm going to get a bright green. Soon after the paint job I'm purchasing new interior. New seats, new carpet, floor mats, dash, gauges. It's going to look awesome when I'm done. I'm also going to be putting an awesome bass amp in the back. Um, I think that's it so far. I decided to put off getting the lift for right now, but I'll do that soon enough. I'll post pictures of the paint job this next Monday I hope. Cheers, guys.

I understand that this build has taken a long time to get underway, and I apologize, but I promise, I'm getting there. Right now I need opinions on paint. So, I really like the idea of this:

My question is: will it look good? My Jeep's a two door, if you haven't already noticed. Quick replies, please? Thanks guys. After this paint job I'll post pictures and I'll start working on the interior. I've got some great friends helping me.

hey magnets I seen a paintjob on another xj that was similar to your picture and looked pretty awesome. Only difference is that the other xj was a 4 door. If the shaded black area is going to be some sort of bedliner then I would probably connect the section over the rear wheel wells to help prevent rust

Ha! It's taken me months for this paint job. I think I'll do some interior building first. Along with a roof rack and front bumper. Lift will be down the road. Unless I run into some extra money this winter.

Hey, guys! I'm not dead. haha. I've had my lift kit here for a while(RC 3" series II) and it's supposed to be getting installed tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers. Anyway, I've been saving up money from the winter(and boy has it been a rough one) and I'm about to buy some new carpet, new stereo, new speakers, headliner, hopefully seats, and tires. So my question to you guys is, will 4 door XJ carpet fit a two door? I have to go to school tomorrow, but if i don't get a reply by the end of the day i'll just go ahead and take measurements. Also, any tire recommendations? I was told to purchase Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Opinions? Thanks, guys.

I'm not sure about the carpet. I doubt its the same but you could just trim im sure. duratracs are good tires but I would just go with BFG KM2's.

Looking good so far.

I love that lift, BUT do NOT get those tires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will regret it. Good year has a lot of problems, Google it. The at tire line has been reporting peeling of the tire way prematurity.... Get the best all terrain tire avalable. Toyo open country AT II. 6ply thick, 40% deeper tread, top of the line technology in tread design to keep you un stuck. I love them! And just remember who pro off-road drivers choose most! Toyo..
