My hunting/dd Cherokee
So after seeing a few posts in my build thread about how my XJ is not a buggy, I have decided to start a new thread with an interim name. Admittedly, I know it should not have been called a buggy in a forum dedicated to 4x4's and offroading, but it was what I always named my hunting rigs. I will continue the build here until I come up with a new name but for now it will be known as "The XJ formerly known as My Buggy". Here is the thread for those who have not seen it.

Overhead switches
So I finally got around to working on the XJ again, and I got the overhead switches all wired and mounted.
Here is my new fuse and relay center under the hood, this part is not quite finished yet.

Alarm and finally get to drive it
I did finally get the alarm all installed but I am having some programming issues that I need to work out but she is good enough that I got some insurance today and finally get to start using it as my dd. Hopefully the fuel economy is better than my F350.
Here it is after giving it its first wash.
I will keep picking away at the rest of the mods I going to do and keep you posted.

First real drive
Well, I am fairly happy after my first day driving. I like the way the ride feels, no crazy vibrations except for a little bit at around 110km/h. I will get the tires rebalanced to cure that. After about 80 km driving, lie-o-meter says I am getting 16.2 mpg and that was not babying the skinny pedal, also I have figured the speedo is out just under 10%(using gps), so economy is really a little better. So far so good.....except my three year old can't say Cherokee so she calls it the turkey tracker. I'll have to change that.

why not just ask the moderators to just change the name of your old build thread? that would keep you from having two build threads on the same jeep AND not clog up the forum.
just a though......
