Got givin a 91 with a 4.0, auto trans and the t case says it has a part time 4 wheel drive option. Engine is strong and has 171k on it. It was in Michigan so it has rust issues but is fun to drive and I think it would wheel great also. Would like to loft it and run 33" tires so I need to ask, will it be a dog with the factory gears and will it need new drive shafts. I'll switch axles to full width later, but would like to go play off road after tax time this year ( when I can afford the lift and tires. Any help would be great

I will, need to take a couple first lol. I have had a wrangler and still have a 57 ****** but this is my first xj. If read a few articles online that say 33" tires will make it a dog on the pavement and have seen others that say otherwise. Mainly I just need to know is I can still use my factory drive shafts with a 4.5" lift. If not then I'll have to go with a smaller lift or spent more cash lol. It's a rough country lift I'm looking at, springs and coils but it also has a t case lowering setup so that's why I asked about the drive shafts.
