Just wondering, Why use 3/8" wall 1" tube? The hole is only going to be a 1/4" hole. Many sliders use .120". I wanna do sliders, I'm not gonna have the tube on the side, but if I did, I would use 1 1/2"x.250 DOM.
Thanks!!

Yeah I think it'll probably be over kill going that thick lol I'll probably switch it to .120 cause 3/8 was too expensive lol I've already got some tubing lined up so over the summer when I have more time I'll get started on em

Sweet, Yeah DOM tube costs A LOT. How much are you paying for the 2x4x.250" if you don't mind me asking?

I know exactly what you mean, except I have toolbox with me at school. There isn't anything to do here besides work on your junk though.

Well I'm back from school and finally settled in at home again. So that means I'm busy with the XJ. Today I changed out my plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. Probably should of changed all this a while ago. (wires were still original)

Hopefully tomorrow I can score some older style roof rack cross bars for my roof basket. The ones I have now rattle too much so hopefully the others will work out. Also hoping to get some older bumper caps for the front bumper. Probably going to try for a V8 ZJ steering setup too.

Well had a little time today to do some things to the XJ.

Went to the jy this morning and got some roof rails and a set of lift gate arms from a zj. I'll be going back for the V8 steering sometime later.

Also got a new cherry bomb turbo muffler cause I have no money for a flowmaster 40 lol and I got tired of the glasspack.

Put rails on and put the rack back on. Then I used two self tapers per side to get a good snug fit on the rails.

Then pulled the old cherry bomb out

And put the new one in

Didnt have anytime to put the liftgate arms on today. I'll be putting those as hood supports because they're super beefy.

Not much going on lately cause of work 50hrs a week so I had a little time today to snug up the exhaust and put a little jb weld on to stop some little leaks. Hopefully I'll be able to do the steering before the summer is over and make some sliders.

Bought my pins for my $7 disconnects (Actually $7.38 lol) Doing them next weekend and hopefully extending the front links by welding on rear links and making some bar pin eliminators for the rear shocks too.

Well I recently noticed that my rear brakes weren't working as well as they did before Rausch Creek so I finally got time to check them out.

They were pretty dirty and everything was pretty gunked up:

So I sprayed them with brake cleaner and hosed em down and now they're clean again.

Going to get some stock parts today so that I can add to my leaf pack and make some rear BPEs. Should work out well. I'll post when it's done.

instead of old style end caps, you could just trim up your original ones, I did mine and it looks sweet, same idea but saves you the cash and haggle of finding good ones any where else
