My first Jeep/newest money pit. '92 XJ Laredo!
I picked this up about two weeks ago.
Rundown:
1992 Laredo
-4.0L/auto
4x4
HP Dana30/Dana 35
Tow Package
Has 235k on the body but has 80k on the '95 engine.
Needs:
Driver tail light.
Radio.
Misc. hardware for the dash/interior.
New HVAC control plug
Brakes.
Drivers mirror.
Rear hatch ball stud welded back in.
I've already replaced the alternator, battery, terminals, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor and I've got a few more parts to install currently.
The tires that were on it were practically slicks and were puny 205/60/15s and I got some 255/70/15s mounted and balanced for $130. The wheels weren't balanced originally and after I got that taken care of it drove straight as an arrow.
On to pictures!
So far I've installed a few parts and made a few changes.
Installed a Rugged Ridge intake and throttle body spacer, they aren't really made to work together in the sense the isolator won't meet the head shield. But I finagled it to work. Sounds great and the throttle response is noticeably better!
Also a set of vent shades and a double cup holder.
This is how it sits currently in it's mostly stock glory.
And I picked these up today.
5 steel wheels on some worn 31's and a hi-lift jack. I've already got a set of coil spacers and a front lift, at the moment I just need line extensions, an adjustable track bar and a few other goodies to lift it.
I hope you enjoy!
