My First Cherokee- Lots of Questions
Okay, First let me do an introduction. My name is E.J., I have my temps and can get my license in January. My dad is giving me his 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport once I get my license.
So, I have decided to start fixing it up while I have my temps.
Problems so far:
Power Steering High Pressure Hose has a leak
Brakes barely work
Rear leaf springs are bent wrong way
Floors are gone
Blower Motor and fuse changed
Radiator has been through hell
Tires are close to bald
Seats have broken brackets
And...
A major cleaning
And...
A complete tuneup
After I finish all this I will start upgrading it to a real offroader.
Now time for some pictures
Exterior
Front axle- Dana 30?
Rear axle-Dana 35?
My 4.0 HO
Interior
Temporary Floor bandage
Drivers door hinge (Welded crooked)
Seat bracket
Passenger seat floor
Okay, Now it's question time.
Does anyone know what this hose is for?
How about this hose and nipple?
How bout these wires?
Is the clock suppose to light up?
Thank you for reading. I will update as soon as I get some $.

Man that Jeep is in bad shape. You are better off using that one as a donor vehicle and building another Jeep up. You have significant oil leaks and rust issues that will tear apart the vehicle. Hit me up if you need help assessing the damage, but even if I had a spare Jeep I would not rebuild this one. It will be quicker and cheaper just to scrap this one.

Okay, I have decided that I will get another XJ and use this one as a parts rig. But I will have to drive this for at least a year. So, I will at least keep the mechanics in good shape. I am just going to leave the body for the most part.
2 Questions
1. Can you bend leaf springs back, like to use them in a bastard pack.
2. Could I attach 2x6 or 3x5 rockers? Where do they attach?
