Default My first build and first xj

Well this is my first build. Its gonna take me some time since i am only 15 and have estimated this whole jeep build to be around 3k to 4k, but everything i do i will be sure to keep you guys updated.
Lets start on what i am working with-
A 1991 jeep cherokee XJ limited series. Completely stock
I bought it for 1250$ clean title, it has some front bumper damage and headlight casing/grill cracks. interior was crap. Really thinking of doing a new paint job. Maybe just go all black! blackout XJ or viper yellow
Pictures-

That is my ride.
My first project was to fix my loose steering wheel!
So off comes the wheel, off comes the lock plate and such all the way down to the tilt knuckle. Tilt knuckle came off then i got mad and quit, thought it over in bed and then realized... turn the yolk so i can put it on.... felt like a moron after that. I now have restless xj thinking sleeping problems
So i got my column all apart, tightened the 4 torx bolts all the way down there and now am working on re-installing! man what a pain!
A great learning experience.

Thinkin of 4.5in lift RC w/ maybe 35's if they dont rub... if they do then 33's
snorkel
roof rack i hope to build
Front bumper w/ winch
rear bumper with tire swing
herculiner the interior
New headliner
bushwacker fender flares
New seats front and back
And i am an avid fishermen on the west coast for salmon and steelhead so i gotta tow my drift boat and put a ceiling rod rack holder some how

I hope my outline goes as planned, i will keep you guys informed

Alright guys i had a fun weekend! Fixed my steering column.... after i put it all to together it still was broken so! got a steering column and did a parts swap good to the good steering column!
Also bought some manual track seats from the same guy since i couldnt move my electric seats.
Along with that i tore out my carpet to the back seats. Planning on bedliner it!! Then took off my bad front bumper
Working on saving about 500$ for a RC 4.5in lift kit its hard to do that when your only 15!!!
Also still on the look out for some wheels and tires (33/12.5/15)
I hope i can get this done by august! cant wait to turn 16!
Pics-
Floors out!

Bad steering column out-

Steering column part swap! -

new steering column in -

Just setting around appreciating my beautiful xj-

Keep following!

Alright guys! next step is coming up! Been searching around for some 33's and sort of having luck.
Right now i am saving up for a 4.5in rough country lift
Then i am going to get Black wheels with the circle holes With im thinking bfgoodrich 33's KO. Cant wait! Hard to save money when your 15 but i dont have to pay insurance yet and i dont have a girl to worry about

Just a heads up you can do a lot of trimming without messing up the original look, I had that exact set up on my 01 I had. Kept all stock and had 33s that wouldn't touch a thing full flex, all in hoe you bumpstop too!

Today was a jack pot day! i got 4 Tires and wheels. Tires are 31/10.50/15 on D window wheels. They were painted white but a wire cup and some flat black spray took care of that.
Sweet!!! should last me till i can find a set of 33's

Got a jack pot of a score today!! Once again
My front fenders were all messed up so i talked to a buddy and he is parting out his jeep. So he sold me...---
- a set of front fenders
-his rear back seat which match my front seats (bought the front from him)
-A set of YJ Fender flares Look like bushwackers!!!
-Then he sold my grandpa a driver side glass
Price=75$$

Ohhh! another update!! my grandpa has a custom built cj5 that is going to get done this Sat. He also just bought a 1994 white cherokee for 800$ Has bad compression on the engine though! still sweet!

If you want 35s, these will supposedly clear them, I dont know what backspacing is recommended but it may be on their site http://icelandoffroad.com/CherokeeXJ...S/Default.aspx
