I'm going to the steel supplier today to get some mesh flooring for my roof rack and I also decided to do the front cage around the lights. I also ordered 4 KC 57 series lights for what seemed like a pretty good price (only $140 for all four).

My older brother also designed this so I put it on my car today... for those of you who don't know, Saginaw MI has been ranked #1 on a list of America's most dangerous cities for quite a while

Expanded metal is going to be fun stick welding onto that roof rack lol just watch your heat try staying on the pipe and barely touch the expanded metal

yup, that's what I plan to do... I'm also a little stuck with the light cage, because I really don't have a good way to cut metal at home other than a hack saw or a small cut off wheel

Yeah I have a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder and I thought about getting a cutting disk but if it cuts anything like the 3 inch cut off wheel that I have it will be really messy...

txjeeper, you sure were right. The 4 1/2 cut off cut like a charm!

I got the expanded metal on and the prerunner light cage built for the roof rack, so now I just have to weld on some tabs for my lights and do a little grinding. I'll post some pics tonight or tomorrow
