ordered my re 3.5" lift kit last week......now the wait for everything to show up. got quick discos, bump stops, lcas, full rear leafs, front and rear stainless brake lines, adj trac bar, shock and springs, and a SYE kit......

started fabbing air filter box yesterday...making it out of 26 gauge sheet metal...ill post some pics and more info when its finished....

got the rear bumper removed, sanded, cleaned and painted yesterday. gotta fab up some rear mounts for the bumper to go back on. everything was rusted and had to be cut apart...pita....

Got the rear quarters welded up.... Finally no more rust holes! So happy

painted the rear quarters and back end over the weekend...not a great pic but you get the idea.

almost got all the parts for the lift....waiting on the rear leafs and shocks....impatience is setting in

nice job on the quarters exact same thing i did cause i had holes there as well and you cant cut and fold with holes...and to being impatient you will be as long as you own an xj

thanks, that was my first welding experience. had a bit of guidance from a friend who's a welder. great guy to know.

So nothing new with the build, still waiting on the leafs and shocks for the lift. Will be picking up new tires next tuesday, but more importantly...on 5-1-2012 my son Tanner Lee Hansen was born...needless to say the build will be much slower from here on out!

Started the lift last night! Not starting out so well, broke 3 of 4 bolts that would " turn". Gonna get back at it tonight and all weekend. I'll post pics when I get some good progress.

Got some pics and updates. Fished new bolts through for the rear shocks. Got the rear passenger side pretty much complete. Should have the rear finished by tomorrow night.

Rear end is pretty much done. Gotta run a new line for the rear brakes. My old line decided to break when I was installing the rear extended break line! Not sure if I installed the new rear shackles correct? Anyone used the RE hd shackles?
