Well thats even better lol

Thought of a quick question for you since I saw you said you had problems with you lugs rusting. Did your center caps rust too because mine are terrible. Just wondering because we have the same center caps.

Yeah, they rusted too but they are really expensive to buy so I didn't. I cleaned them up with a Brillo pad then waxed them for further protection. They actually cleaned up very nicely.

I was thinking of doing the same but spraying them with a glossy clear coat to help a little more

Quote: Also as an update, I put on all new lug nuts as they were starting to rust.
I found a nail in one of my tires so I pulled that out and repaired that.
I ordered all new tail lights after one bulb blew. They will now all be LED.
I am going to be ordering two new shirts (I made the designs)

Thinking about buying a new set of the housing and hack LED's inside. Not just bulbs, but cover the whole lens area, or as close as I can.

Get before and after shots? Was meaning to do it w/ my HID's...same spot, same time of day, but a day before and after install.

That would be really really tough to do nicely. As for the before and after shots, no I didn't.

Since the Admin/Mods are busy or w/e it is that keeps them from moving it, here it is:

LIGHT CONVERSION GUIDE
*NOTE THIS WRITE-UP IS FOR JEEPS 1998-2001 (MAYBE OTHERS, BUT I DON'T KNOW)

Here is a list of the lights I have converted:
Front Map Lights - Single T10
Front Dome Light - Rigid Loop Festoon
Back Dome Light - Festoon
Kicker Panels - Ba15s
Transfer Case - Single T10
4WD Transfer Case - Single T10
License Plate - Single T10
Third Brake Light - Single T10
Vanity Mirrors - Festoon
Gauge Cluster - T5 Neo Wedges
HVAC - T4 Neo Wedges
Brake Lights - 3157
Turn Signals/Flashers - 3157
Reverse Lights - 3157
Headlights - 6000K Bi-Xenon HIDs
- 7x6" Projector Lense Housing

FRONT MAP LIGHTS x2 + FRONT DOME LIGHT + BACK DOME LIGHT --- LINK
You will need four of these. They are a basic swap for the map lights and back dome light. They come with 3m double sided adhesive tape preapplied. Just plug it in and tape it securely into place. on the back you will need to use the festoon adapter (the one with a spring) on the front you will need to use the T10 adapter (wedge).
For the front dome light, it is the only tricky part. You must strip part of the wire and connect it to the conductive metal. To do this, I just simply wrapped it around then taped the panel into place.

KICKER PANELS --- LINK
You will need two of these. The link sells them in a pair. These you will need to remove the protective covering that houses the incandescent bulb. As LEDs don't emit heat, you don't need the anymore. Also, the LEDs will not fit any longer.

TRANSFER CASE LIGHT + 4WD TRANSFER CASE LIGHT + LICENSE PLATE LIGHT + THIRD BRAKE LIGHT --- LINK
You will need to buy four of these (two pairs on the listing). You can use other T10 wedges, but these are the only ones I found that are very bright and still fit within the Transfer Case's housing without trimming the housing.
To install these, you just plug them in. Very simple.

VANITY MIRRORS --- LINK
You will need two of these. To install you will need to bend the holders in the mirror in order to hold the thicker bulb. Once it is bent (very easy to do), just swap them out.

GAUGE CLUSTER + HVAC LIGHTS ---LINK
You will need 7 of these but they are sold in pairs. Although the gauge cluster and HVAC unit's lights are different this seller sells them together. After buying, ask him to send you 3 pairs of T5 lights and 1 pair of T4 lights.
These are the hardest ones to do. For the gauge cluster you will need to remove the the dashboard and the cluster. Plus, a minor modification to the LEDs will be needed.
I will not be explaining how to remove the dashboard or the HVAC unit, there are plenty of write-ups on how to do that elsewhere.
The minor modification you need to do will require needle nose pliers. Using the pliers, squeeze the plastic clips to make the gap bigger. You will understand what needs to be done if you attempt to install them without doing this. Once that is done, just plug and play.

BRAKE LIGHTS --- LINK
This is a basic swap and you will need two of them.

TURN SIGNALS/FLASHERS --- LINK
This is a basic swap and you will need two of them.

REVERSE LIGHTS --- LINK
This is a basic swap and you will need two of them.

BI-XENON HID CONVERSION KIT --- LINK
Instructions for installation are included in the package. The link is for a 6000k conversion kit. 6000k is pure white and the most popular (also the one I got.) Other colors are available as well.I also advise getting a HID Anti-Flicker Capacitor aka Canceler --- LINK

7X6 PROJECTOR LENS HOUSING --- LINK
This is very simple, just put the new HID bulbs in, and swap them out. Make sure you keep the metal cover from the old headlights, it will be needed to attach the new ones.

Haha, have fun. Make sure to disconnect the battery when changing the HVAC and Gauge Cluster lights.
