I went with Adams driveline for my sye. Got the sye and brand new hd driveshaft custom make for around $400. Something to think about.

Yep, I feel like the TC is a bandaid and I know that driveline is still off angle.

There are two companies you can go by for custom drive shafts that everyone swears by. "Tom woods custom drive shaft" and "Adams Drive shaft". Both of these companies and I've heard nothing but good things from both.

Thanks, I'm going to look into Adams customs.

Somehow I missed one of the major mods I did early on here - I swapped out the rear drums with the G2 Disk Drum Conversion kit. I love it, very high quality parts:

It's so ironic how your build and my build are so closely related. I'm in the process of sourcing all the rear disc parts now lol! Just out of curiosity if you don't mind, how much does the G2 kit run? Close to what taraflex asks?

Sorry, I've been offline a while and just saw this. I paid $499.00 for the G3 brake kit. No sales tax and free shipping from Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There is a mod but if you want to do it right you should get new ebrake lines also, that's another $70 for the pair:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

..in all @$600 as a round number but you'll have a nice new rear braking system that is easy to maintain and repair if needed - unlike throwing good money after bad with inferior drum brakes IMHO.

Hello everyone, it's er, been a while LOL.

I sold my 99 XJ today to a really nice couple here in NC and also recommended this site to the new owner and gave him this link.

I hope he creates an account because this is a great site for XJ owners and the folks here are very helpful and extremely knowledgeable.
