New lift.. bad place to take a pic in my tiny garage LOL but I will get more as I go.

From the other side.

Now I need 4.10s.. my acceleration fell through the floor with steel rims and 31s.

So tonight.. injectors, alpine speakers and Media player.. (cant call it a cd player.. it doesnt play them.. only Ipod LOL), new headlights, possibly some cheapo driving lights if I can stay awake.

Damn that looks pretty slick. Im not a white letters kinda guy but it does set off the black rims really nice. Those are the same ones I want to put on both of my trucks.

I usually sdont go with the letter side out either but I liked the offset because of the little white pin striping on the cherokee.

on another not.. the *** end is sagging a bit.. it loks like the factory leafs in the rear are tiny and shot. There are like 3? That seems pretty weak.

Whats the "chepest" way to beef this up a little and get the sag look out of the rear end of my cherokee?

looks good so far, we need some outside full view pics though!

the cooper discover ST's are a fairly good all terrain tire, my buddy just put a set of 30"s on his 92 cherokee thats all stock and he enjoys them, now for the sad part, he payed $500 for this jeep to use as a beater through the winter to get to work, he bought it with 285k miles on it, original motor trans and t-case, its now closing the gap on 300k miles, and he has not had any major issues in it, he hasnt been driving it recently since he got a new motor and trans for his 99 mustang gt though

for the sag, there are a lot of things you could do, did you put new shackles on it, i dont remember if you said that, if not that will help, or you can buy a whole new set of leafs(expensive), take your chances with some from the junk yard, or ive been told the leafs out of a mid 90's chevy 1500 are the same as the 3" lift leafs for a cherokee, you could buy additional leaves to add to it, but that makes it ride worse and worse the more you add, new leaf packs are almost definitely the best answer, but the most money

Chevy 1500 leaves wont work. You maybe confusing s10 leaves with the 1500's leaves , the s10 leaves will work.

Cherokees have 2.5" wide leaves, so you could use s10, or dakota leaves. I think dakota leaves have more arch, though.

is this something to grab from a JY? off of what year of dakota or S10? or order new? Thanks!

Also got the stereo in.. and of course the new speakers excursion was too much so I had to modify the door speaker mounting just a bit.

Im pretty sure the year doesnt matter, but I would try to find the leaves out of a 1995-2002 of either truck. You could also get leaves from another cherokee, take the main leaf out, cut the eyes off, and use it as an aal.

So tonight.. tearing into more leaks we have found... seems most of the "gaskets" were replaced by this liquid gasket crap thats leaking all over. Do getting new transmission pan gasket and rear diff gasket. Most likely an oil pan gasket as well.. its looking like.. already did the valve cover gasket a while back.. still leaking from down below ... might be some power steering leaking too... so..
Im not excited LOL.. Im taking my wife n kid out in this.. so needless to say I dont want to break down or have my brakes magically stop working LOL.

Tons to do it seems..

so in moving around and cleaning crap up.. next week I will be replacing the rear diff, seal, the rear main seal, oil pan seal, transmission pan seal and filter, transmission cooling lines.. they were all bent and pinched half closed.

I dont know how hot the tranny should be.. but it was like too hot to touch for about an hour after driving it.. so I am assuming .. thats too hot LOL.

I swear im gunna have to rebuild this SOB by the time I even get to take it muddin! LOL.

We have all of the crap off now except the rear main seal.. which we will do tonight or tomorrow night.. then I buy the gaskets and whatnot and start replacing them.

Any suggestions on "better" Oil, Dextron, gear oil? For an older jeep with over 220k miles? Im obviously replacing it all once the seals are in. I just wanted to know if theres anything thats "better" and any reason why?

Ive heard the royal purple gear oil is good. I used valvoline max life when I did the tranny and oil before... (about a month ago when I bought it LOL) but, I dont know the difference other than I was told not to run penzoil because of the carnuba build up. So.. I dont do that.

Thanks again for all the help guys!

Those pinched lines are probably the reason your tranny got so hot.

Royal purple isnt all that great. I like Mobil 1 the best.

for the gears it really doesnt matter what brand you pick, they are all almost identical, and basically the same for the tranny, the engine oil is all up to what you prefer, i usually use valvoline or castrol gtx, but i know people that run napa brand oil and never have any engine problems, its just what name you want pumping through your block

alot of the oils you buy off the shelf in a parts store are the same oil just in different containers. personally i run AMSOIL but then im a dealer for it, without trying to sound like im trying to "sell" you on it.

Ok more lube questions please help! Im getting gaskets and seals on the way home but Im reading confusing stuff on gear oils and special additives.

I have the 88 standard Dana 35 rear and dana 30 front end currently. What gear oil should I use? I use this vehicle for camping which usually requires heavy four wheeling.

Transmission fluid.. I bought some Dex/merc valvoline max life.. will that work fine?

Oil.. I know.. LOL I got this one!

What should I replace the oil in the transfer case with? Thanks!

(The mopar this that and the other thing.. is whats confusing me LOL so pleased dont copy and paste a service manual here because I will be lost Thanks!)

Appreciate the help all!
