filters from advanced auto, 36$ notice the one on the 90degree elbow from the valve cover

sway bars can be removed, id leave the front one on till you lift it atleast, but if its junk anyways just toss it

as for exhaust, here is a video off of my myspace, this is my 96 4.0HO with a highflow cat from the local exhaust shop and a flowmaster 40 series muffler, just so you get an idea of what it sounds like, i have the 4.0 header on there now as well and think it sounds even better, ill have to go take a better video, and check out some of the offroading videos on there too if you'd like

Steering stabilizer, theres one for like 35$ from rough country, you can add it to the total of your lift when you order that from them too, www.roughcountry.com/ the 4.5" kit with new full leaf packs is only 655$ then throw the steering stabilizer in 29$ and upgrade to the nitro shocks for another 25$ and your good to go!

and i cant tell you anything about the cooling system swap

thanks for the great info!

The cooling system swap is the only part I get LOL. Its almost done now.. should have some pics up soon.. condenser was bent behind the original radiator.. so I have to go to the JY and find a replacement.

Should get the lift sometime next week also. As well as the steering fixed.. Just need to get a cat and muffler on it.. currently its not legal.. farmer who owned it straight piped the cat.. so its been cut off and welded in line.. so no flanges to bolt on.. so thats a pain in the @$$.

OH! I got some 19# mustang injectors from a guy here who totaled his stang for 30 bucks so that was a score.. I hear thats a common thing to swap as well. So Im going to try that too.

Thanks again guys, appreciate the suggestions and help!

Now to get my friends who are fabricators to make me a safari rack, bumpers and skidplates :P LOL... Im sure they'll love that.

So Ive been reading Spicer U-Joints are the way to go.. I recently purchased he U joints on the front end of the vehicle and used M-N (McQuay-Norris) U joints as the local store told me they were what you should use on a 4 wheel offroad type of vehicle.. are these crap or will they hold up like the spicers? anyone know? I know they felt way "heavier" or better built than the ones Autozone tried to sell me. Thanks!

If you do a cold air intake like the picture above had and then just put a small filter on the pcv, then you will just have oil blow all over your engine, instead of your filter. I tried to re route mine into a bottle, to capture the oil and other gunk, but I ended up just putting it back the way it was.
You should do what your mechanic wanted you to do impo.

So If I replace my valve cover.. in this process. Is there any one better than another? I dont know if theres a quality issue or not? Ive seen some for like 70 bucks or 120 bucks.. have no idea what the difference is. I have to do the valve cover gasket anyways I think.. so I might as well do it all at once. Thanks!

Well from my understanding, it is just the grommets and the hoses that need to be replaced, and I would not spend that money for a new valve cover, unless you feel it necessary. A new valve cover alone will not fix any problems.

oh so its the grommeet.. "ideally" that gets plugged up not the PVC INSIDE of the valve cover then? Can I just poke through the old grommet? or that not effective? I pulled the small hose off of the back one and sprayed some de greaser in it to clean it out.

Cooling system working like a charm here are a couple pics.

Those are the best pics I had off my phone out at the shop before we finished up. I will get more after I get it off the rack at the suspension shop.. getting her steering fixed, lifted and some tread.. I hope.
