Cranking. Later found out I had a leaking injector and did not plug in the ignition rail. This was the first video.

It lives!

Walk around.

Also, NO oil pressure, so dropping the pan. Removed the the "bastard abomination distributor" and turned the pump by hand, it is toast. New pump here on Thursday.

Here are some pics from Friday and Today.

Coolant temp sensor installed. Here you can see the layering of the gaskets to adapt from the 0331 to 0630 head/manifold.

Battery tray in.

Main chassis wiring hooked back up.

Coolant installed.

Battery installed.

Overview of engine prior to test fire.

Installed shrouds/fan.

Back seat is in.

Drained the new oil. This pic doesn't do it justice, the oil is new.

....and the dumpster that will be here for the next "2 weeks" I am told, so no road test....

I have the new pump in and now need to wrestle the pan back on. It would not come out last night so I said eff it and put the new pump in, and once I put the last bolt in, the pan just falls out....

Getting it back in is proving to be fun. I've got a jack on each side of the axle pushing it down, and loosened the mounts, lifted the motor, and raised the tail shaft of the trans and still not enough room. Going to try to remove the driver's side mount and go higher.

Should be fun.

Is your starter or downpipe still connected? I disconnected my track bar and my downpipe, to make it a little better.

Starter and down pipe are in place. The issue is getting it to clear the axle, the sump is hitting it.

What is really puzzling is how it just falls out when I finish tightening the last bolt on the pump, and no finagling gets it back in! Even persuasion of a rubber mallet is no go.

Wheel is off, pulled out the mallet of persuasion and it popped off.

Some pics over the past few days:

Oil pump cover, you can see a nick in it on the lower left bolt hole.

Here is the block side of the pump, we can see the ear is busted off, as are the drive portion.

Higher up pic.

On the right, the bolt that was holding this in. I did get a bolt off of the old motor.

Pic with the hood back on.

Random pic.

Rear stock speaker.

Amp and wires mid way though.

New speaker.

Fuse holder.

Stuck rear wheel.

The never used spare tire put back in.

A view from back to front.

Old wheels. If you are close I will sell them very cheaply.

Grill and headlight thingers back in.

How not to terminate your amp wire.

Engine bay, totally done.

Overview pic with flash.

Overview pic, no flash.

I have the correct ring terminals on order and need to wait for the dumpster to go away, otherwise its road ready. I'll drive it to/from work for a week prior to giving it to the wife to crash.

There was a dude on another forum. It was $110 shipped.

Try him.

I made the brackets for the ignition rail with some mild flat bar from the local fleet supply. I bought fasteners there as well(by the pound bins ftw).

First tank of gas. Did a road test and got the flashing CEL(missfire). Can't get the hood open.

I bought a new coil, and hopefully will get it open. The sway bar end links are ****, they fit like trash and rattle like rocks in a pop can pulled behind a bike.

Update: Drove it to/from work for a week. There is some vibrations when in 4x4, no 4lo at all, period.

There are some vibrations from the rear as well. The u joints have never been replaced so will look at those first. It pulls slightly towards the right, I think the rear wheelbearing might be going.

Starts are slow, doing some searching it is a sign of a weak fuel pump.

Still on the fence on a 2 or 3" lift, one with springs/leafs, no blocks here.

I am going to be moving in the next few weeks and then will be digging in again.
