Default My 2001 XJ "Godzuki" build thread

hey guys i have had a few people ask me to make a build thread. so here we go. i bought it in october of 2008. had 52300 miles on it. so far i have 20 percent tint all around, boston acoustic speakers, i also have a kenwood headunit. i have bilstien 5100's, IRO tie rod, IRO Uppers and Double Sheer track bar. RE coils and leafs. RC quick disconnects, and i have 3/4 spacers on the front to level it out. im running with pro comp steelies, running with 31's km2s. i have ajsoffroadarmor rock sliders, Down and dirty offroad bumpers and tire carrier. smittybilt x20 8k winch. i also have a MRLlighting 50 inch Onyx combo beam light bar along with their onyx 9 inch flood on the bumper. i also have their 40 watt spots on the a pillars. all the lights i have i still have to install. been too cold to install anything. im runnning a 3.5 inch lift i think its 4. my jeep seems to be taller then the 3 inch lifted xjs that i have seen.

I miss snow. The Army loves deserts, what can I say? Next time you have the camera out can you post a closer shot of your doors? I think it looks better without the plastic.

so i installed the 50 inch and 9 inch and decided to take it on the ramp. loving my LED headlights. of course only the best from MRL lighting. also i trimmed my fenders, put new hubs, brake lines, new rear axle seals, and Solid axle diff covers. installing control arms next week.

I like mine a LOT better without it too. I thought about getting a heat gun from Harbor Freight but my wife's hair dryer worked very well.
It got all that adhesive off without much fuss.

Yep. Just take your time and don't put too much pressure on it while your pulling. The heat will do a lot of the work so the paint won't chip.
I put the heat on a lot of the left over adhesive tape and it came off pretty well too.
