Thanks, I love your Cherokee. I've looked at it many times for inspiration.

It's not hard at all, as long as you take off everything that's in the way. There's a rubber backing on the carpet, or at least all 3 of mine had it.

Just got done washing it, took some pictures.

Gonna probably sound ignorant/stupid here but what would exactly would be in the way? And for those objects that are in the way, how do I go about removing them?

It's fine, I'm not the best at explaining stuff. I meant like the plastic trim pieces and the obvious stuff(seats, center console, etc.) that holds the carpet down. They're all just held in with screws and bolts(make sure to remember where all the screws go, I was lucky that I had another one to look at.) I just took everything out because I was swapping interiors.

And then after everything is removed, the carpet just comes out?

Yeah, there's only 2 clips under the back seat that hold down the front carpet, but other than that they just lay in there. Thats how all 3 of mine were.

Still haven't put the sliders on yet, or painted them.
But I did clay bar the whole Jeep and wax it.

Me and a friend got bored and went driving around taking some pictures of the Jeep.

I edited these trying to make them look a little better. The first one isn't very good, but the second looked good as my computer's background.

Then today I painted underneath it with some bed liner

Did the a little of the front axle too, it was looking rough

And I put my Cherokee Forum stickers on

Still haven't gotten around to painting the sliders but I did get all the holes drilled and bought the paint, so those should be on soon.
My driver side seat has been wobbly and loose for awhile now and I took it out and found out the welds on the seat frame were broken. Got the seat frame welded where it was broken and redid all the factory welds while I was at it. Much more solid now.

Then yesterday some friends wanted to go mudding. Had to pull my friends 2wd chevy out about 5 times, and before we went he kept saying his truck could do more than my Jeep. He actually got stuck in the first little ditch we had to cross.

When we were leaving my he got really stuck and we had to call another friend to come help with his Ram. Even with both our vehicles hooked up it just barely moved. After both vehicles couldn't get it I tried by myself again and the Jeep got him out with no help. But the Ram defiantly helped loosen it up.

I had to drag him up a hill so he could get out and his truck got plastered with mud.
Before.

After. And he thought he could do more with only 2wd with a locker.

And I almost got stuck trying to drag him out one time. Doesn't look that bad but my tires were full of mud and this stuff was slick. I just really need better tires and a rear locker.

Jeep before I washed it.

Default Updates!

Well after moving, graduating high school, and starting college, I'm back with some updates!

A few months ago I had to replace the heater core and while the dash was out put some FatMat up there, which lead to me pulling out the whole interior again to dynamat and fatmat everywhere.
Some pics from that.

Then during school I needed something with better gas mileage, so i decided to buy a 240sx...

...which lead to me drifting the crap out of it and deciding to strip it down and do a full rebuild from the ground up and make it a street legal drift car. Still a long way from being done (like a year or two), but the plans are a mildly built rb25 engine with a goal of somewhere around 350-400hp, silvia s13 front end, and keep the full interior with a bolt in roll cage so I can take it to some local drift events.

As it sits now...

Back to the jeep,
Recently the headliner has started to fall down, so I'm recovering it with some plaid fabric. And while it's out I put fatmat and dynamat on the roof.

I used to have two 12" subs in the back, but I hated not being able to haul stuff, so I'm replacing it with a subthump box with a single 10"

Sold my yfz450 and bought the jcr cut and fold bumper. Just got here yesterday and it's already painted and ready to go. I'm still in the process of doing the actual cut and fold which has to wait now because my last cutting disc blew up. I finally got the rock sliders on though!

Also put a k&n intake on, dynomax exhaust, and put it in the super chips tuners performance mode, and I've been getting 16-18mpg with a mix of highway and city
