OK...this thing has been stock long enough!
Began Thursday afternoon installing the lift. Did the rear first..full length add-a-leaf. Turns out I screwed up and ordered the no name instead of the Skyjacker.
I had a bad feeling from the get-go. They were really thick and square cut. I installed them anyways, and they ended up giving 5.5" of rear lift. Too much! I called the supplier and they had never had that problem before, and they offered a refund. Luckily I found a set of BDS local and had them by Friday afternoon. In the meanwhile I installed the front springs and all the shocks. Then I did the rear leafs for a second time.
I'm really impressed with the Bilstein shocks, and with the Fat Bob's Garage front springs.
Pics!
What we started with-

Nice shocks!

Rear suspension-

Front Suspension. Everything unbolted easily, no rust or any issues- I'm liking this Jeep!

So, with the lift installed, I measured the change- exactly 3" at all 4 corners!
Here she sits... stock tires and wheels but lifted.

Next was a trip down to America's Tire for installation of tires and wheels. We went with the 15X7" on 31X10.50R15 Duratracks. I chose the 7" over the 8" due to offset- I like how these sit with the tread barely outside the fronts and even with the rears. Plus, 0 offset will help with steering and rubbing at stuff.
Here she sits now!

Next on the agenda- building tube bumpers. And adding a subwoofer. I'll post more updates as they come.

OK, linked from Photobucket. They'd better work now...
Here's a couple pics of my previous Cherokees- a 2000 and a 1994. Don't have either of them anymore, but had a great time in them!

Thanks, guys. Gold wasn't our first choice...it was closer to last. But this one was so clean, one owner retired couple, and spent the most of it's life behind an RV...we had to have it. (The front rotors are still OE...at 120k! The original owners guessed it had less than 60K actual running miles.) I think the black breaks up the gold nicely. Planning to do the door trim strips in black too, and build tube bumpers and a roof rack which will be black too. I do tube work, built the cage and stuff in my LS Scrambler...

There's about a thousand pics in my Photobucket account...if you're curious. Yeah, the old fat guy is me...

The wheels are from MB Wheels- the style is TKO. It looks like MB is exclusive to Discount Tire/Americas Tire, although I have seen them for sale online too.
