well the trip was kind of a bust. there was nobody there. did see a guy from the forum there riding with a wrangler and a xterra. The truck ran good untill i got stuck the first 30 minutes i was there. My buddy with me got his atv stuck so i turned around to go help him and hit like a 3x3 hole out of nowhere and i think i hit so hard the tire popped off the bead and dirt got in it. I tried to air it up but it was no use. i ended up driving my red truck around and just looking at the area.

so i have been looking into lift kits for the truck. But i was thinking of getting just the front coils and doing a spring over for the rear. 6.5 coils are only 150. not bad. then all i would need for the back is new u-blots.

i have most of the other stuff i can get at advance like brake lines, shocks, and i can fab control arms. I work part time at advance like nights and weekends so i can find a lot of stuff and my uncle is a welder/ mechanic. i ahve done the research on it. I was just saying should i drop the doe on a kit or piece it together for a bit less.

A fair question to ask your self is... Long Arms or short arms???? Long Arms.... just buy a kit, Short Arms.... go for it....

After having my long arms setup by a buddy of mine..... i'd wished i had bought a kit.. just a lot less hassle.....

btw the rear spring flip will only get ya around 5" lift.... so put a sweet heavy durable brush guard on the front that way your not running california Pre-runner style and then post LOTS of pictures..... cuz we love pictures

So it's been awhile since I had an update. Havnt done much since I've been working on my boat. But now the weather is cooling off I cab start working on the jeep again. I sold my pos Cherokee few months back. First off I'm going to get a radiator water pump and thermostat just to make sure it's new. I work part time at advance so I can get it all for 135. Then I have been looming over lift options. Rocky road has a soa kit 6 inch with everything for 560 I believe. But it's still a short arm set up. So if I get a 6 inch coil a trac bat drop brake line extension and all for shocks from rustys for 350. Then I can fab my own long arm and t case drop. I have most the steel to do it and the tools. My question is what's ur guys opinions?
