So this is my new jeep i acquired today. I traded my old cherokee with a bad head gasket and no doors and a couple hundred bucks to my cousin. But it is a 86 comanche with a V6 4x4 long bed. It runs/drives great and a new compressor ill have a/c. I took the old Rusty off road springs off my cherokee today and started to put them on the comanche with the spring spacer. IM going to do a spring over for the rear. I have big plans and im a DIY kinda person. Im up to any suggestions what i need to do for it. This is my first "build" so i need some info.

Now with the springs. The top two are rusty off road 3 inch lift springs. The bottom is the one out of the comanche. Why are they the same spring. On rustys website it is the same part number for each. any input?
and i didnt get to finish tonight so this is how it sits

springs like this are often the same length or close to it (for fitment ease), the difference comes with spring "wire" thickness, I can see that the rusty's are a thicker gauge, thus it will compress less when installed, 3" less than stock spring to be exact

well i got the truck out of the garage. not much for a 5 inch lift. it just leveled it out. i might do a 1 inch shackle for the rear but i doubt it. ill save my pennies for a rustys or rc 4.5 lift.

I also sense a bumper build coming on. I think ill use a piece of 2x6 stock because thats what i have laying around. i would love to do a tube bumper for it.

And does anyone know anything about the vacuum for the 4wd? my cousin was saying its restricting the 4wd. I tried to do a small flex to see if the springs are ok and i had a one wheel peel in 4 low.
