Semper Fi!
You will be reminded you ARE a Marine (Sorry, but you really gotta try to be an ex-Marine). After I got out I was a service mechanic. Two electricians were retired Senior Chiefs. Everytime something went wrong, they would say, Where's that f....n jarhead?" Got my first engineering job from a retired Marine. Being a Marine is better than a fraternity. You'll see.
And to stay on topic, cool Jeep. It ain't got tracks, but Jeeps are the next best thing.

If im ever in Texas Ill look you up bro, Id love to go with a bunch of people. Only been solo or with my dad so far.
So anyway today was a big pile of nothing. Tried to get my rear shackles installed but that ended up being a bust. I was taking out the bolts that hold the shackle to the body and to the leaf spring and they didnt seem to want to come out. Im gonna spray it down with some pb blaster everyday while I wait for my bushings to come in (pretty sure I destroyed the stock ones). So we decided to quit while we were ahead (e.g. the truck actually still ran) and put on the window vents http://www.quadratec.com/products/71063_800_07.htm . Those went on surprisingly easy! I was shocked, a ten minute project on a jeep? I didnt think that existed! So we decided to go with another easy project: Find a roof rack that attached to the rain gutter. After three hours of going store to store we couldnt find ****! We went to a bike store and they wanted over $300 for a couple of gutter clips and a pair of crossbars. That made Sears the cheap option at $200! Guess we are gonna fab something. We are just tryin to find somethin to mount to the rain gutters with a couple crossbars on the top. After that we are gonna put something almost like a dog cage wall for the bottom and my dads roof rack basket that he isnt using. Anyone got any ideas?
Also, my dad burnt a hole in my headliner with a cigarette so now I have an excuse to do a MarPat headliner
Dammit I told myself I wasnt going to make big post updates in this thread

What was the deal on your shackle bolt? Would it not completely come out or not loosen? Also good luck at boot camp, lol, I took the easy route and joined the Air Force.

Several things in life you don't mess with. One of the biggest is a FMF Corpsman.
