From what i read rubicon express has the 3.5 inch leafs and a 1 inch shackle and i hear you get more flex from that rather than the 4.5 leafs

 

FYI the zone full leaf lift is a 3.5 inch rear leaf springs and a 1inch shackle in the back also.

 

The only XJ 4.5" lift from Zone I see is an AAL with shackles. $459.99. Am I missing something?

As much as it will hurt paying for, I am probably going to buy a 4.5 inch lift kit from Rusty's or Zone and get an SYE, driveshaft, and extended brake lines. The lift will be either Rear Leaf Full Replacement, or Rear Leafs plus Shackles.

Or, do you guys recommend piecing together a lift? I will have no idea how to install it, other than instructions, but some of my dad's friends have offered to help me.

 

I believe piecing together a lift is more expensive and the hack n tap from iron rock for sye and driveshaft is cheaper yet pretty well ive read

 

Also, I've noticed that at about 55 mph I get some wobble. Not death wobble but it's significant. Any speed under 50 or above 60, the wobble disappears. Any ideas?

 

Check your tierod ends and balljoints. They may be a bit worn. You should be able to tell if there is any play in them or not.

 

As I'm new to cars/jeeps could you point out where these are? Thanks.

 

Also, I plan on buying 5 Cragar Soft 8s and 4 new BFG A/T KOs... should I go on Craigslist and buy 4 used (2011) BFG tires w/o wheels (one is 75% tread, others are 25-50%) to use one as a spare. THey are $75 all together. I also need to factor in the cost of mounting the tires on the wheels and getting them aligned/balanced. Would this be a cost-effective way to do things?

Couldn't find a center console bracket.. Ah well.
