Lifted/stock, still sags in the rear
I have a 1996 2dr w/ the 2.5l... The rear has always sat a little lower then the front (roughly 1.5"). Today I installed a Skyjacker 2" budget boost (shackles and coil spacers). It was almost perfect looking with just the shackles on the rear but after the front was done it had the squatted in the rear look again. Floor to fender the rear is 1" lower than the front but a lever on the roof reads level. I was thinking of putting the Rough Country 1" blocks in the rear. Ideas?

Rear leaf springs probalbly need replacing. My leafs are almost negative arch, I will be replacing them soon. I feel like I have a low rider cherokee lol, goin to add a little lift at the same time.

I thought maybe the same to be true with mine as well, I also thought because of the lighter 2.5L versus the 4.0L that it sat higher in the front too. I figure an OR-Fab bumper and winch will settle the front down a bit but I'd like more ride height in the rear for gear weight when loaded for wheeling adventures anyways. I have a mid '90's Dakota I can scavenge from, I hear they are a bolt in swap and have a more aggressive arch in the leaf pack. I just don't wanna go to much because I don't have a SYE installed yet...

Agreed, mine are doing the same thing. Now I have a negative arch due to shackles.
I believe the only true fix would be to replace the leafs, or rebuild them with an add-a-leaf or bastard pack.
I have read many times on jeep forums that when people add a bastard pack or add-a-leaf to worn out used leafs... they will just sag over time anyway.
I have decided to save up and go with a full pack.
I believe you don't have to worry about an SYE until you go 3.5 or larger lift.

if you have the time for a bastard pack and dont want to much lift then yah you can mix and match leafs from yours and the dakota or s10 or whatever you get it from. you can mix and match till you get the height you want. the reason you get lift from those leafs is because thos trucks run the leafs under the axle
