I Have gathered all my parts to start lifting my jeep. There will be tons of photos as I go through this. I would like ever bodies input. The wrench turning will start fri after thanksgiving. I'm using a used lift that sat about 5" in the front and I'm not using anything from the rear. It's aal. I'll be putting together a bastard pack with chevy lowering shackles. I have 2 inch spacers for the front as well.
The lift came with upper and lower control arms. The upper are adjustable.
I'm thinking of leaving one of the uppers off to make it 3 link. I'm looking for input on this as I've never done it this way before. Pros and cons on this would be nice.
I know a lot say don't use spacers as well.
I'm looking for pros and cons on this as well. The resin I'm using them is I have a warn winch front bumper that is going to bring the front down do to the weight of the bumper.

This isn't my first build but I'm treating it like it is. I know I'm going to miss something but that's all good.

The stock upper location is not good for a 3 link setup. The mount is very thin and if you do this you'll put all the load on a ****ty sheet metal mount and a single 10mm bolt. If that goes it'll take the rest of the components with it.

So i want be doing the 3 link that. I'll have my one month old baby riding in this and I would hate to have something go wrong do to poor planing.

I'm having trouble uploading pics for some resin. I have a few to upload and I will as soon as I can't get this glitch fixed.

I have the hook up on stuff like this. If you can dream it and send me a pic of what you want I'll hook you up. Two of these would run 25 + shipping

Been a good day over all. Had to take the wife and new born out this morning so I didn't get to get started till 12:00 noon.

I had to rip mine down first to use all the stock stuff for the lifted donor to be put back to stock.

I then took the donor apart and then reinstalled the stock stuff. I have already test drove this one to the store. all good. For some dum resin I forgot to take pics of this going on. Lol.

I then started on putting mine back together. And without one problem so far i got both sides together. One side still needs to be tighten up. I still need to do brake lines and then line it up.

Then it will be off to the rear. I see this going without problems as well. My shackles are already on so all I'll need to do is dill out my springs and put together my bastard pack. I'll post more pics tomorrow evening after I'm all done.

Well it's sitting rite at 8inches. Way more then I wanted. Drives like ****. Without spending lots more money on steering parts it's got to come down. O how I wish I hadn't used the spacers for the front. I think this is what's making it suck. So today it's lowering time lol. Mother-n-law has the baby so I'm getting started now. I'll post pics when I have more time.

Well that went well!! Took the spacers out and it lined up without a problem!! Rides good. I may need a axle shim or a t-case drop not sure which. Not sure how much I'll need. All looks good.

Getting the back ready for my s10 bastard pack. I used all but the little one on the bottom. So it sits xj main xj top s10,s10,s10,xj bottom. I didn't use the small one of the xj pack or the s10 pack. Rides 100% better then stock!

This is last night when I thought I was done. Lol boy I was so wrong!! The front wouldn't even come close to lining up! Test drove it any ways and thought I was going to die!! Next to the worst dw I have ever seen!!

This is after I took the 2inch spacers out. Looks better to me. It sits more level. Using a tape I got it to line up real close. Went for a test drive and boy did it run good!! I have a small vib coming from the rear but other then that no problems!

On the test drive I went to this little flex spot I have by the house. I didn't disconnect the sway bar on this test. I do have quick disconnects but I'm saving that for the little wheeling trip later to day.

Over all it looks and drives like a champ!! I can't hardly wait for my wife to get ready to go wheel it!! I'll post flex pics later after we get back.

Ok, lol just ad I pull on the tail the mother-n-law calls to see when were coming to get my son. So it was a real short trip. I thought way not hit the same rock as before so I can see the flex difference.
