Fixing trail tuned exhaust

Poser shots. And seeing how tuned crown leaf packs do

Now crown 6 leaf packs.

Packs are as pictured. Ad 1 leaf at a time till i was happy. Right about 2\" lift over the ragged out factory leafs and rides and handles lots better

Ebay trans mount

Offcourse damn nuts had to be exposed on front spring hangers

Axle moved back 1\" on crown pack installed 5/8" center pins

Shock relocate tabs

Buying drops 1.5\" 2" and 2 5/8" id to fab shock and link brackets also misc 1/4 3/16 and 10 gauge. Ive got plans and dreams tgat requires material to make come true

I figured you'd get it right. If you want it done right sometimes you just have to "design or redesign" things yourself.

I saw the pic of your 3 driveshafts. With an overall length of 3.25" of t/c output shaft length I've got 2" in the slip yoke on level ground. It's also got some lateral play. A longer slip joint like your two upper driveshafts might help but I'm just going to eliminate the slip yoke all together.

I think the longer ones are just normal for xj that came with manual transmission.

Slip yoke eliminator would definitely be the best option but isn't necessarily always needed.
I have a mark on my slip yoke and flexing it stays virtually the same.. i havent check it with both axle sides drooped all the way out at the same time.

Carnage canyon and meat grinder in idaho.

Only pics I can get to load.

jee ok did amazing finished the trip limping with caliper holding one 8.25 broken axle in place. Took on lots of rock rash.
continues to run with taller bigger tired jeeps.
Alittle more belly clearance would be nice but sliders working well fenders doing amazing. 1 3/4".120 fenders are starting to show denting deep gashes. Had both passenger side tires air born crawling through a crevise with driver side sliding against wall.
had a shackle get flipped forward in the rocks.

Will be looking for another 8.25 to rob parts or a 8.8 not sure wich.
will try some more pictures later

Wow is all i have to say. This was very very much worth a week of evenings to get to a closer to finished drivable rig again today.

Trussed C to C now 1/4" plated through C gussets and boxed into axle. Plenty of room to also land bump stops on later.
quite alot of 1/4" went into this project

More to come

Thank you

Kinda bummed, its looking lifted now

Thats actually on a trail. This thing now easily crawls over stuff that i wouldn't have thought of attempting a few years ago.

Its sitting alittle tall in the front. Probly close or about 4" of lift in the front now.

I did some faced spirited driving and this thing is now smoother than my buddies razer in the rough. Hes amazed so am I

Started working on the suffrage to tie towers together ran out if steam on that but did figure out a few bends and plan if attack. Im not much of a tube bender. I was trying to figure out a way to cut 6" wide plate into a tower cross bar. Then finally decided to just bend the damn tube.. lol

Coilovers done

Now sitting on 35" maxxis razrs

This thing has lots of traction compared to my old 33s in tge first pic.

Running balance beads in the maxxis tires due to weights not staying on in the rocks so far they are very smooth on the pavement

I have no idea how much im lifted now maybe in the 4-5" ball park. Did have to massage some metal in the rear fenders to clear the 35s.

They did amazing on a fairly knarley trail this weekend. Offcourse no good pics.

Haven't updated this in awhile.

So I've been breaking 30 shafts broke a knuckle and ruined a tire.
It was down for about a month deciding what to do. Finally decided to press on with the 30 orderd chromoly shafts and gathered the rest of the stuff for wj knuckles.

If had two new phones on the middle of this build so am lacking start of the project pictures.

Steering is salvaged 1ton over the knuckle. Track and drag link lengthened about 4"s

akobono Calipers with cheap pads

Fresh track bar bracket to match drag link also fresh on the axle side.

Clamp is holding track bar to locate parallel to drag link and mark location to drill hole. I then gave myself another hole 1" up and 1" done. Incase i change things down the road.

Track is now 4" closer to shock

wj ball joints BTW

Orderd monkey grip shafts on ebay and ten shafts showed up at my door.

This is hanging on the limit strap with 11.5\" of shaft showing. Straps are set at 11" hoping they strech to 12 or just under. Thats all the updat for now. Hoping to report later that un mentionable things are holding up.
