Been a little bit since I've updated this here.
So I finished the seat swap at least driver side.
Trimmed and fixed the fender cut and fold. Had to weld the passenger side since it was cut. Still need to seal it which I have the items to do so.
Installed my rear tj flares all around. And bought some spray on bedliner in black to paint them and refresh them.
Bought some 5" round convex mirrors for my flop shop trail mirrors.
Bought some wiper blades since swapping the wiper motor I hadn't installed wiper arms since I haven't been driving it yet.
Bought 4 matching tire in 35x12.5r15 flavor which ill be put on my steel 5 star wheels I have.
Yesterday I found some wagoneer tail lights at the same junkyard I bought this jeep at so I bought them and will install them. Lens are crack free. The grey/chrome trim is faded is spots which I will paint black. And only one mounting hole is broke but oh well. Got them at a decent price.

Got my flop shop trail mirrors installed. Really like them totally changes the look of the jeep from the front plus they still have great visibility, fold and are steel (3/16 plate) so will be durable.

Nice project but your killing me with the junk yard numbering and lettering that is still on your XJ since you got it. Nice score though I would have loved to find something like that for the price you paid. Sure it needed work but don't they all? This one a 89?

I like those mirrors. My 90 mirrors do not fold in, and are about to fall off the side of the jeep from all of the trail damage. Did you make those or buy them? If purchased, got a link?

I do suggest buying them with mirrors from flop shop. I didn't save much cash buying the actual mirrors separate from a parts store. Vs buying everything all at once.

Yeah. I know, but I haven't been driving it so the paint pen on the windows don't bother me. Will clean it up before it gets driven home. Yes at one time or another any rig will need work. I know a few thing it needed. Some surprise things shown up. And some things I wanted to do.
No this one is a 92. The red camo one you see I some pics lately is my old 89 my first xj.

Been wanting to get matching wheels and tires on this thing. Over the weekend my bro-in-law and I swapped some tire and rims around.
So when I put 35's on my first jeep I picked up two 35x12.5x15 one schawby tire and one Kelly safari mt and two 35x13.5x15 toyo mts on a steel 5 star wheel.
The Kelly had blown out one day after work. Then I had bought 3 35x12.5x15 Baja claws on d-windows. after that I was rocking the toyos on the rear and Baja claws on front with the 3rd Baja claw as a spare.
Jump forward to this jeep, after buying it I installed the 3 Baja claws and the one schawby txr and 3 d-windows and one 5 star. At the beginning of the month I bought some Dunlop mud rovers in 35x12.5x15 four of them Not on wheels. So the plan was to put the dunlops on the 5 star wheels since the only set I had 4 of. It took most of the day.
The Dunlop were about 50-60% they are 35x12.50x15 but measure out to just above 33' s so on the small side of 35 scale.
