By the way, I couldn't believe how clean and rust-free your floorboards were when you pulled up the carpets!

it's bad for your back dude. even just bouncing around puts strain on your spine. do it once do it right or don't do it at all. you know?
since you're probably not gonna read the link I'll pull out the key information that shows why it's bad for you. I'll even edit it down to just the good stuff.

Now, the problem with the shoulder belt mount being too low is that the force on the clavicle has a vertical component - illustrated here by the vertical yellow arrow (highlighted). This vertical force component may act to compress your spine even when momentum just throws you forward. In other words, mounting the shoulder belt anchor points too far below the shoulders places a risky and possibly unacceptable vertical force on the shoulders and may cause spinal compression - very bad!
