I need a v8 ...But my fall plans for ORIs at all 4 corners have my funds spoken for ... But I really want an Lq9 .

Good gawd, why an LQ9? LS1 has plenty of power and torque for our rigs, even modified to the hilt... plus it's more fuel efficient. So less fuel you have to carry onto the trail.
