What axles are they? I'm pretty sure that J series axles are just over 65"s whereas XJs are 60" so the axles will stick out a little more. I'm sure all you would have to do for the rear is cut and weld on new leaf spring perches. Not sure for the front with the coils and steering. What tire size are you looking to go?

I don't have my heart set on using them i just have them in the yard, when i do the v8 swap and tranny swap , i wanna upgrade everything in the suspension,(axles,ball-joints,tie-rods,coils,shocks, diffs, ect.) i just want to know of any good axles to put under a xj, my xj has Dana 35s front and rear, is there any mods to make them srtonger, or if even a Dana 44 out of another xj would slap in, its my first jeep build and i would like to not have to do work over again, its not my first build just my first xj build so im not afraid to try something crazy if i know it will work,

With research and good fab work you can make anything fit and with v8 power your dana 30 front and dana 35 rear dont stand much of a chance. If you didnt want to go full width axles you could also narrow those dana 44s and be done with it. It all in how much time and effort you want to put in to it.
