It's been over a year, but my 1 Ton XJ is running!
Yes the hoops are tied to frame and frame stiffeners with a crossbar connecting the hoops. If you have any questions just shoot me a PM. I will be going in to work on it tomorrow to put in the front driveshaft and try to straighten up some of the wiring.

i was waiting for someone to post exactly what you just did. thanks. lol.
you don't think i know that?
what i meant was it isn't over done with useless crap like an ugly *** stinger, roof rack, tire swing, spare tire on the roof, poorly built exo cage, excess amount of off road lights, chop or any gay home made useless add on.
this is simple, made to function.
good job. how did you do your shock hoop for the front?

99% of "stingers" are poser junk. 99% of stingers have never touched the dirt. 98% of "stingers" would fold backwards onto the hood the second they were "used" for what they're made for.
I've seen a stinger prevent a flop ONE time and that was on youtube.
Also, 100% huge "stingers" look dumb.

Lol I don't know when the last time Kevin was even on here. I've seen this XJ a few times, nice work done to it, especially since most of the cage is from another Jeep.

You're a little late to the party.

agree on the the 1mile long flagpole style stinger , But I have a stinger it's tied into my EXO which is tied into a 4 point internal they both have been usefull and the exo has already been fully used . a stinger is really supposed to keep you from going end over end not really keep you from an easy side flop .

if you read my post closely, i did say ugly stinger and/or poorly built exo. yours looks good. not cheaply built without a purpose.
i've seen many that look like they would do more damage than good.
and yeah, i've wheeled some pretty steep trails here, but our trails differ slightly than the terrain in and around colorado/moab.

how is your 231/Aw4 holding up? what style drivelines are you running and how long do your ujoints last?
I'm thinking of running 1310 CV at the np231 and 1350's at the axle yokes.
