So I bailed on the whole Idea altogether. I've got bigger fish to fry... I'm not to worried about the not having a key at this point, it works, so screw it. I have a wicked exhaust leak and i think I'm losing a cylinder
I haven't even got a chance to roll this damn thing yet. (Still Waiting on the Baby)...
So while I am temporarily on a short leash, I might do some part searching. find us a header and maybe beef up the throttle body, get a better intake set up maybe?
I've scraped by pretty well so far. Blew up a fuel line in the denny's parking lot this morning. That was a beautiful post meal fiasco... My water pump needs replacing, but then again, what doesn't. alternator is probably next. trying to do it as it breaks...

Backed the Heep into the 'Ol Garage again... Ordered some parts...
Got Some ignition doo-dads from Mallory. Distributer Cap Rotor Wires etc. Should be here next year...
Also I will tackling my water pump. Ordered a High Volumn Aluminum pump and new hoses along with a Thermostat. Those will show up in a few days, but of course all of my gaskets will come next year...
And finally, my intake and throttle body. I ripped off the throttle body and gave it a serious cleaning. Wow. It was messy but looks brand new now.
As for the intake, I just got a Spectre filter and a 60 degree elbow, pretty simple. Get some pictures up here momentarily....

First, I ripped of my sway bar in the rear. the first picture is the reason why.
Then theres my helper (spring and dog)
I'm slowly yanking off what will be replaced. Its going to be a while before i get all my parts, so the second picture is just a mock up of my new intake.
Lastly, my 10 dollar big lots interior design work and my 'new' throttle body.

Right now is my trade deadline, Got to get all my parts in and on by september for 'Rage in the Sage'. I ordered everything I needed for this go-round in the garage. Waiting on my alty and valve cover gasket. Got some ignition parts from Mallory, New water pump, hoses and tstat is on, Throttle Body is back on with a spacer and intake is all ready to go. Just got to slap on my alternator and my fan and pulleys, straighten out the 'ol serpentine, fill 'er up and pack it all in.
Having some 4wd scares. When I pull the lever it moves pretty freely, meaning I don't feel any sort of catch when I pull it into 4 hi. I haven't really gotten down to the four-wheel yet or snooped around for the problem, but i feel like i saw the vacuum lines dangling by my front axle... that also needs to be addressed before I head out into the sunrise...no fun out there with only two wheels turning
