But if I cut and fold wouldn't it add a little strength to the lip and leave it smooth?

Probably. Most just cut them though because it is a lot quicker and fenders are real cheap to replace. I'm not sure that a cut and tuck would add a significant amount of strength to the fender to justify the time spent doing it. But if you want to then

You can get them a heck of alot cleaner but not folding them. Just make one straight smooth line and you'll be good

sure i need some flares for mine. you have teh metal brackets for them too? i'll need to mod them to fit since i have the cut and fold done but i need flares according to the local police.

After fed ex lost my tires, I finally got them.
