31s are the best tires for a DD XJ IMO. i wouldn't rush with the sye. i mean it's great to have one. but,
1. u might not need it
2. transfer case drop should suffice
cheapest sye is about 100 bucks plus about 25 for a jy driveshaft.
a TC drop is about 40 bucks, or can be made out of a 1x1 square steel tube, aluminum bar...
and yeah, it will wear out your motor mounts faster, but we're not talking faster as in tomorrow morning. we're talking years down the line.
i'd save every penny for small power adders, because 31s are gonna take a toll on your gas mileage.

I'm going with the RE 3.5" for sure, and I think I've decided to go with Skyjackers Hydro 7000 shocks.
I know some of you are going to say bad idea about the shocks, and go with OME's, but after all the reviewing I've been doing they look decent, and are priced well. I don't need to ride like a Caddi.
I also like the encouragement about the lift and tires, I was worrying I might have to do the SYE and get a new driveshaft right away on top of the fairly expensive lift.
I will probably do that down the road, but not right away. I'm also not worried about dropping the Transfer Case an inch or so, because I have enough clearance stock, so if I have any more than that I'll be doing great!
Again, thanks for all the help and support from everyone!
