I want to do a lift on my 1994 Cherokee, but am hoping to get some info first.
Originally I was thinking a 3" Rough Country add-a-leaf lift, but after looking at pic's I'm worried it won't be noticeable enough.
I'm not looking for super flex, or rock crawler setup, but I want it to be noticeable when I look at it.
I was looking at Rusty's 3" add-a-leaf kit, plus their 1.75 Budget Boost shackle kit on top of that.
Anyone have experience with this? Do I have to change anything but the length of the brake line?
Thanks everyone!

5" lift shocks, control arms, track bar, alignment, slip yoke eliminator, rear axle shims, sway bar drop bracket, possibly drop pitman arm, and track bar drop brackets

3+1.75=4.75
or did i not understand u right?
because u don't even need longer brake lines with 3". u just need to bring the mounting locations lower on the frame.

budget boost or long arm. no difference... it is still almost 5" of lift. you will need the things that i listed above.
^that is the probable outcome.
now, let's talk experience.
not too long ago, i put a lift kit on for one of the guys on the forum. basically all bastard except the shocks.
at the end he ended up with about 4.5" of lift, not needing a sye or rear axle shims.
his was a 95, i think.
seems like the older ones respond to lift better. but i can't guarantee that yours will.
look up 4X4Dalton. he should have a lot of pics on xjtalk.com

I have seen a couple of guys on this forum running what I'm talking about just fine, but like you said, its all subjective. Since this is my first lift I think I'm going to start with a 3" and go from their. How noticeable do you think a 3" will be with 32" tires? I really like the looks of RE's 3.5" lift, but they are really getting up there in price!

Yeah for sure, I think your ride would look great with 31s! I wonder how hard it would be to fit 32s on a 3" lift? If you were mostly doing street driving could you get away without trimming the fenders?

Ya originally I wanted 31s but I was at stock height when I got tires and wasn't wanting to trim. And yea I think you could maybe wider rims or more backspacing??? I want my tires to be wider u know like a wider stance.

I haven't decided on shocks yet, I'm not sure I want to spend $80 piece for the RE Monotube shocks.
I don't really want RC shocks either, I've heard they ride really rough! I want a little smoother.
