It all boils down to What's it worth to YOU? Even if it was a pile of scrap, rusty hunk of crap, if you feel like paying for it and can afford it, jump on it. I've definitely passed up on vehicles to save a couple hundred bucks and ended up with junk. Case in point, a Bronco that I just got rid of. Do what makes you happy.

Well, talked em down to $2,500 and went for it. I couldn't find anything that really caught my eye for less than $2,000. I have fond memories of driving in my grandfathers 1990 so I guess I just couldn't shake it once I got the idea in my head. Not to mention my wife loved it (and hated the other 5 we looked at). I will gladly spend extra and work harder to make her happy!

My goal with this is to keep it looking classy. I will post some more pictures and a list of my desired changes sometime this week.

Thanks for the input everyone. Might seem like I didn't listen but I took to heart the fact that this older model might be extra hassle.

That's what it came down to for sure. My wife drove it home and then we took the dog for a drive as soon as we got home. We all couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the words and tips everyone! I stoked to have something fun to drive around in. This is the first time I've been excited about a car that I own!

With the renix you will want to put a newer model xj radiator and dual diaphragm brake booster and master cylinder... 2 best upgrades I have done IMO

Thanks, I will definitely look into those tasks in the near future. Replacing a master cylinder is one of the few things I have done to a vehicle before.

Add zj tie rod upgrade to the list.

That interior is absolutely immaculate for a 90. Also for the $2500 that's a pretty damn good deal. Didn't realize it had lift kit already on. And it looks like for the most part it was done right.

Now go take some action shots!

Yeah man, I didn't even know (they were there or what they were) till you pointed it out (like I said, super newbie right here). Quick disconnects on the sway bar. Guess I didn't need to start a build thread... Seems it's been built for me!

But there are some addition I'd like to make... Hopefully I'll get some action shots soon.

I'll retract my previous statements. That's clean and worth what you paid.

Looks good.
