I have an 87 full size bronco with an 8.8 rear end and if I can't get it sold soon ima part it out. I'd like to have full width axles and was wondering if any of y'all had used a full width 8.8 on a Cherokee before. Yeah I know a Dana 44 would be better but this 8.8 would be free and it would save me some cash towards a front end and the price of a rebuild on both

How is a Dana 44 in stock form better then an 8.8? If you can also find a matching full width 44 out if a bronco then why not swap those in? It would be cheaper then 44's.
I agree. Their will be people that argue the point tho. Haven't decided to part out the bronco for sure yet but I'm just sick of working on a truck to keep it running, I'd rather work on something to enjoy it. The rear end I can have the gears changed in and ad a spool and disk brakes. And have the fab work done or even do it myself. I don't plan on jumping it or anything anyway
