Got ALOT done today... started off by pulling the stock rear springs... then went through and wire wheeled the inside and outside of the unibody prepping for 2in angle that i picked up for $20 a 20foot stick (4 sticks i got)... started cutting and welding them in... ran out of wire on the drivers side but all the hard stuff is done... so ill finish tomorrow... everything cut and tacked up at least... i did angle on both sides of the frame between the wheel wells and only on the outside on the back wheel well areas... mainly because the frames not gonna hit rocks back there... and its just for strength... the middle will so i did it on both sides and because it was wide enough too... i stopped right at the seam where the cross member is and will start again all the way to the front once i get everything built for my front suspension... i also got the perches cut off of my new sterling 10.50 rear end i picked up from a 06 F250... same bolt pattern as my front now and same width... sold the 9in for $200 which i discovered needed to be reset internally anyways and got this sterling for $350... so cant complain... they dont make a spool for this so im just going to weld the front and rear... easier and cheaper... lol... the fronts got lock out hubs anyways...

tomorrow i will install the rear axle... and finish a little bit of welding to the angle iron...

took pics of the rear axle in couple weeks ago... ill post them up as well...

well i thought i had them with it in and done... but i guess it was before i ordered the U bolts from rough country ebay... its hanging under it now... no shock mounts yet... waiting till i can flex it around... also the rear brake line looks the same except twice as long... so maybe have found another rear brake line thatll work for cherokees but longer...

the other pics of the crossmember i started to build... but its to big and bulky... would have been strong as crap but just heavy and takes up to much room... the other one i made and mached up and welded up but doesnt fit right either so i may be starting over once again... or just frickin buy one and be done with it... lol...

well i finally got me a crossmember put together... ended up using one side of my rock rails material to do it but didnt have a choice anymore... that was a few weeks ago... last week and this week i got some grade 8 hardware... some larger drill bits and a new DEWALT corded drill since i burnt up the chuck and cord on my other one... biggest stronger drill at lowes is now MINE!! course i ran into the dewalt man and went ahead and sent my 11year old one in for repairs for only $50... lol...

ordered my DOM from ruff stuff... took about a week and was 2 6' sticks for only $150 shipped... not bad since the cheapest local place had a limit of $250 and was a hour away...

i plan to built TWO upper links but only run one of them at a time... if something happens with the pass side then ill have the drivers side i can put in at any given time... basically itll be a spare... but this way if anything happenes to the actual mounting points on the pass side and not just the link then im still covered and can make it out... so my lower drivers link will have the brackets but nothing installed...

also decided on the 3 link Y link style on the pass side... mainly because this is a frugal build... yes i could have the upper thinks bent and build more mounts for them on the crossmember but itll all cost money when this setup seems to work just fine for most...

heres some pics... gotta build my upper mounts still... but had to order some link tabs that are built at an angle... i only have some that are straight up and down... ruff stuff tabs should be sent out monday...

started hard on the wheels today... wishin i could set the jeep down on the today but i dont see it happening... taking to long... i almost dont know if i should wait until i get the beadlock PVC inserts ordered before i get the wheels put together... if i dont wait then ill have to break the wheels back down whenever i get them later... i think ill just worry about it then... for now i need to get this thing rolling and around and soon driving... the inserts only mean i cant air down yet is all... wont stop me from doing even a little off roading and testing things out... anyways hers the pics of my wheels!

I did run into a issue with the valve stems... but what i did was i went and got some 1 1/4 long rubber valve stems from oreailys and drilled the stock rectangle holes out... because the other ones are so short i can still get to them... the rock rings were in the way... from what ive read most people get 45degree valve stems instead and drill out the wheel... well i didnt have time to order them and wait... so i used short ones... can easily still get to them and there only like $1 each so to heck with the cool factor of having 45degree ones... not worth it to me...

these are the centers after i welded them in... had to spray them down with the hose to get rid of the brake dust from my dodge and sand from the sand bags i was running... ill be hitting with these with some undercoating as well some time today... alot of people run different colors on certain parts of these wheels but its just to much of a hassle... maybe ill mess with it one day...

Well im gonna try and get some stuff done today and tomorrow... I picked this up yesterday... Has a rebuilt 4.0... Sye 231.. Roll cage... Fuel cell and high pressure pump... And best of all it had the same axles i got under it so no building driveshafts... Bolt in... All for only $600... Ill sell the motor and make a chunck of that back... Lol... Also the rear was linked for air shocks so its already setup for that when i swap over next year... They were made into the cage... Saved some money and just gotta start bolting stuff on! Oh and im keeping the front winch bumper since itll fit my narrowed front end...
