I completely forgot to update this thread after our Good Friday wheeling trip.
Here are some photos...
Yes, my PS coil spring fell out on Yellow Jacket... I forgot to install the lower retainer. (Coincidentally the retainer was assumed lost, then found UNDER the battery in the XJ a month later when the alternator died, and I removed the battery to service the alternator.
)
I ended up getting sick halfway through the day, and felt like absolute **** for the rest of Easter weekend.
Haven't gone wheeling since.

So, Thanks to Timmay @ Liquid Iron, I finally have a tire carrier:

And I finally manged to get out in the rocks again...
Here are a few pics.

Drove it almost 200 miles round trip, averaged 15 miles per gallon, and was only denied on three obstacles... Mostly due to my lack of a rear locker.
The PSC power steering worked REALLY well, even without the ram hooked up (LONG story) and was really predictable at speed. True one finger steering at 75MPH.
I'll be doing some cage work in the near future, along with getting the hydro assist hooked up, installing some deeper gears , and some "real" skids on the bottom.
All in all, I'm very happy with the performance thus far.
Look for more updates.
