SNOW DAY!
So, I took advantage of my day off, and hammered out the shock hoop:

Thanks to Timmay at Liquid Iron Industries for the speedy service on the custom flanges!

Is the removable section for a V8 engine swap cause that's pretty wide

or just in-case of a need to get to the engine?

Just in case.... I doubt this will ever get a V8, even though I would toss a small block in there in a heartbeat...

2010-03-14 Daylight Savings Time begins...
And I am back in the garage.

I jacked the whole jeep up about 8 inches, to see if anything would bind on droop.

Seems ok.

So I pulled the rear axle out, and welded the spring perches on.

I have to clean the whole rear this week, replace the pinion seal, run the brake lines, and secure the soft lines in place.

Then a quick coat of paint, and she should be good to go!

WOW! Im speechless... The most unique build of an XJ Ive ever seen. Its not an overkill build like alot of people do. Its just a really good balance of everything it needs to do and handle the way you want it to. Extremely nice work. Cant wait to see it finished and in action.
